2 Timothy 1:7 TPT
In 1981 Diane Warren wrote a song titled "The Journey” performed by H.E.R. I not endorsing this song in anyway just showing how lost we can be without God guidance. The lyrics start off,
Just a small-town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train going anywhere.
This sounds like everyone in the world at one time or another, without an identity, wondering here and there, no roots, no guidance, no hope.
But the sad part, it also sounds like the life of many believers.
Strangers waitin'
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searchin' in the night
Streetlights, people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night.
Before Jesus this would be understood. Sinners have no morals or direction, they are blind by the god of this world, just one good time after another, doing their heart desires. But this is not how a believer lives.
Some'll win, some will lose
Some are born to sing the blues
Whoa, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on. This song reminds me of Ecclesiastes King Solomon stated, “Everything is meaningless,” completely meaningless!” No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear we are not content.
Generations come and generations go, but the earth never changes. History merely repeats itself. It has been done before.
A Journey is a trip, especially one to a faraway place that takes place over a long period of time. In the natural the human's Journey starts at conception and ends at death. Believers start the day we agree and partake with John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10 until we transition to heaven.
What is a Journey according to the bible? Spiritual our journeys began long before our conception in the womb. Ephesians 1:4 And in love He chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! The Journey focuses on the process of getting there not the arrival. During the process Christians are being transformed into Christ’s image (Galatians 2:20 TPT My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life I no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me –we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mines! So when we do finally arrive at the finish line of the journey we are perfected into the image of Christ which is at our nature death. Christians do die we transition to heaven.
Do every believer have the same journey? ( Join for the answer)
Why is it important for a believer to be successful on their journey?
Every individual came from God to the Earth for God purpose (Ephesians 1:11 TPT Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in His heart.
So Let me ask believers, is success predictable. Before we can answer that truly, let me ask another question.
Did God preplan for every believer to be successful while on Earth? Ephesians 2:10 TPT We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!
Philippians 1:6 AMPC And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
Jeremiah 1:5 teaches "Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew you intimately. I had divine plans for you before I gave you life, and I set you apart and chose you to be mine. You are my ____gift to the nations."
Jeremiah 29:11 TPT Here's what YAHWEH says to you: "I know all about the marvelous destiny I have in store for you, a future planned out in detail. My intention is not to harm you but to surround you with peace and prosperity and to give you a beautiful future, glistening with hope.
John 10:10 TPT But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect--life in its fullness until you overflow!
Proverbs 3:5 NLT “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Proverb 18:16 KJV A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Proverb 22:6 TPT Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they've learned from you will be with them for life (Some Jewish scholars teach this means understanding your children's talents and then seeing that they go into that field). This scripture can take us to Matthew 25:14- 15 TPT “Again, heaven’s kingdom is like a wealthy man who went on a long journey and summoned all his trusted servants and assigned his financial management over to them. 15 Before he left on his journey, he entrusted a bag of five thousand gold coins to one of his servants, to another a bag of two thousand gold coins, and to the third a bag of one thousand gold coins, each according to his ability to manage.
Although we are predestined to be successful on Earth, is success guaranteed.
Is a success Journey predictable? Yes, but you need a relationship also to do as the Word of God teaches. (More detail on the live)
John 16:13 NLT When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future He will bring Me (Jesus) glory by telling you whatever He receives from Me (Jesus). All that belongs to the Father is Mine (Jesus); this is why I said, 'The Spirit will tell you whatever He receives from Me.'

Hosea 4:6 NLT “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.”
